Chris Anderson's 91st full length album release.

I was in the midst of a big recording binge, and release frenzy, when the 2021 RPM Challenge appeared on the horizon. At first, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for it, but then January rolled around and, with it, came the 4th, which is my birthday. Traditionally, I like to create on my birthday, so I started writing. It quickly got out of hand and, by the end of the month I had 51 new songs. Stylistically, this material was all over the map, and each new song inspired the next.

As February approached, these songs began to sort themselves into five different groups and all 51 of them were recorded, along with ten instrumentals (which we will talk about later). The project, as a whole, was called Boomslang Oblivion, which also lent itself to title of the first album to come from the project. The second album was called Footprints In The Fog, the third is Lefty Comes Alive, and the fourth is the rockin' Gung Ho!

The fifth volume to come from these sessions serves more as a clearing house than any kind of conceptual album release, but that does not mean that this album is all castaways. Yes, many of these songs are weird and some may even cause the listener to question my sanity (your hunches are spot-on, I'm sure), but there are also a handful of really killer tracks here. Generally, those are ones that were either too different, stylistically, for the other albums, or were just surplus to requirements (can't make the albums too long). Fortunately those tracks help to make this a stronger collection and is a cool way to tie up all the loose ends from those sessions.
